Book Description:

Even if he weren’t the lead singer of the popular college band, Luminescent Juliet, Justin Noel would have his pick of women. And he does pick. Nightly. Tattooed, blonde, and green eyed, he flashes his dimples and females swoon.

Except for one.

Tattoo artist, Allie Landon, rarely dates, and especially not men like Justin. Though he’s hot enough to melt off permanent ink, she’s done with the bad boy type. But when the ex who broke her heart wants to reunite, desperation has Allie introducing her latest client as her boyfriend. Justin’s more than happy to play the part. He’s completely intrigued by the sexy artist and college student.

However, Allie’s life isn’t what it seems. There’s little room in it or her shattered and confused heart for Justin. But as Justin remains persistent, ignoring the growing attraction—both physical and emotionally—between them becomes more difficult than tattoo removal.

*New Adult. Recommended for mature readers due to language, drug references, and sexual situations

Badass Book Babe Review:

Ami's Review:
This book was FOUR HUGE STARS from me. I really enjoyed this book. Ink My Heart was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I love when I am shocked in a good way! First, I LOVE that the hunk of this book, Justin, is a tattooed rocker (cue the swoon!). Justin is the lead singer of a band called Luminescent Juliet as a hobby while going to college. Justin happens to stumble upon a tattoo shop called Dragonfly Ink by accident one night and meets Allie. Allie is a single mom with a douchebag of an ex-husband who is also going to college. Oh! Did I mention that Allie owns the tattoo shop and happens to be a badass tattoo artist? My kinda girl! :) As a single mom who put myself through college, I can relate to Allie and somewhat understand her internal struggles. Allie has been hurt and Justin has been hurt, but they develop a relationship that is grounded in friendship, not just scorching hot sex. This is not one of those books where they fall in love on day three, ride off into the sunset on day 5, and are married with a minivan full of kids in the epilogue 5 years down the road. Allie wants Justin to earn her love, not just give it freely. Some of the things Justin does are definitely swoon-worthy, but still might not be enough to tear down the wall Allie has built around her heart. This book has lots of drama....drama from other band members, drama with Allie's ex-husband, drama with groupies, and the drama that comes from being a single parent.

This book had a few hot sex scenes, but was more than just porn in print. There was no cliffhanger....but this book did leave me wanting to know more about Justin and Allie as well as the other band members. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, and I hope it is about Gabe!

About the Author

Jean Haus writes young adult and romance novels. She reads a lot too. Anything with a bit of romance has the possibility of being loaded on her Kindle. She even does a bit of cooking, which is actually quite good. She also golfs in the beautiful summers of Michigan with her awesome husband and son, but she cooks way, way better than she golfs.
